Help someone find

Employment

Our new project, staying true to the R100 miracle, is finding work for the members. A motivational letter from Life Savers for the member will be provided, giving confidence to the employer that the person is a virtuous Christian who upholds biblical values. The letter of recommendation also sets the employers mind at ease, with Life Savers vouching for their character.

VOLUNTEERS will also benefit financially from the profits of the R100 miracle, amongst other sources of income for them.

Project Labour Brokering was born within the Foundation and Ministry with the sole purpose of restoration.

What is?

Labour Brokering

Labour brokering is a form of acquiring casual labour. Labour brokering refers to the act of finding casual, short-term permanent employment for people looking for work.

Labour brokering is different to recruitment agencies, and temp agencies, in the way that recruitment agencies simply find potential employees. Labour brokering goes through the entire process of interviewing, paying and providing transport for labourers.

The work that is found through labour brokering is short term and casual. However, the aim at Christian Life Savers Foundation is that permanent employment will be the end result. Workers usually work for a designated amount of time (usually a few months), and are then assigned to another position. Because of this, employment can be unstable and sporadic, and does not offer employees the opportunity to advance themselves in their position or company. At Christian Life Savers Foundation it is the complete opposite, with new life in Jesus Christ, our approach is for permanent employment as our first priority and casual employment secondary.

Labour brokering is convenient for companies, whether they are large or small, as the work that potential employees are required to do is usually physical, and it does not require immense amounts of training. Because of this, it uses the company’s time and resources to find a labourer if they were to interview and find candidates themselves, or even through a recruitment agency. By going to a labour broker, the process is shortened and simplified, as labour brokers will generally have a list of suitable candidates who can begin working immediately. Often, if a worker is sick or otherwise unavailable, a company will go to a labour broker to find a replacement as quickly as possible.

Companies who hire workers through labour brokering do not save money; they simply get to the employee much quicker than they would have, if they went through a recruitment or temp agency.

Recruitment and employment agencies in South Africa do not seem threatened by the existence of labour brokering, as the services offered are very different.

Our aim is to get people back on their feet. Helping people find employment and integrating them back into society, helping people come full circle in their lives.
