About Us

Life Savers is a Non Profit Organization and Ministry, whose work is to reach out to all, no matter their circumstances or how they got there. To heal, reclaim, redeem, restore, to Minister and reach the lost and hurting, to lead them to Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and the answer to the world’s problems. Not to just preach, but to live by the example of Christ. To be the miracle in others lives and to do what God has called all of us to do. Life Savers Ministries is not a showcase for the saved but a hospital for the sick. The way we conduct our lives as Christians, may be the only Bible people read when they see us. Our main focus, is to teach the lost, to care for the youth, to feed the poor and look after the aged, and give the homeless a place to sleep. It is our responsibility as Christians, as instructed by our Heavenly Father in His Word, to be a light to this broken world.

Our Timeline

How we started and grew

Life Savers was started by the remarkable and inspirational life story of Juan Van Niekerk, AKA Jay Jay. His testimony in short, inspired many to give their lives to Jesus. A problem child from a very young age. Expelled from two schools and several failed attempts of rehabilitation. He overcame 20 years of drug and alcohol addiction, and a lifestyle full of violence, after God saved him and changed his life forever in a bar, at a fellowship meeting, for the feared and notorious men of the underworld. God showed him Grace and how much He loved him. God forgave him and started teaching him what He wants him to do. That’s how this revival started and that’s how God’s hand has guided Life Savers by His presence, from that time until today. To teach the world that there is only one way, and that is through Jesus Christ, to save as many lives as we can.

Mission & Vision

The Mission of the Church is to achieve its Vision through:

Leading members to function and fellowship directly under the guidance of the Holy Spirit on the basis of clearly defined biblical principles, exposing members to the functioning of the fivefold ministry, as described in Eph 4:11- 13 “And he gave some, apostles, and some, prophets, and some, evangelists, and some, pastors and teachers, for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.”
