We are affiliated with accredited Bible Schools to equip members to serve the community.

Our Lord revealed that it is not just the governments of the world that are responsible for dealing with poverty and unemployment, but it is His House who ought to care for His people. It is our duty to bring a future and a hope to them.

A shelter was rescued by our Founder, which today is self-sustained as a result. When he saw the plight of the children living on the streets, he resolved in his heart to build orphanages for them. The Government is not funding all of the orphanages and the Corporate private sector has to be approached in unity with other Churches and orphanages.

In the 1990’s and early 2000’s churches did not know how to handle rape, drug addiction and victims of human trafficking. Help was very limited. With our shelters and Upliftment Centres, victims of these afflictions can be helped and reintegrated back into society.

Pastoral counseling is also administered with the aim to uplift the community and bring glory to God. God is not dead. He has not forsaken us. He has provided a hope and a future for us against all odds.

We work with other non-governmental organizations (NGO’s) and churches, who are accommodating people, and with whom we also collaborate with. The orphanages will be part of the Upliftment Centres also. The Upliftment Centres will involve Social Workers, Government Officials, the Department of Social Development, the Department of Education, as well as other Churches.

Feeding Scheme

All divisions, franchises and projects were developed to generate sustainable income for the sake of charity, to assist the Church, and projects around the Church. One of the biggest challenges, not only for the Church, but for the Nation, is poverty, and as mentioned, to feed the hungry. This scourge, is an instruction from God to make right. Isaiah 58:10 “And if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday.”

Widows & Orphans

Under the Mosaic dispensation, no legal provision was made for the maintenance of widowers. They were left dependent, partly on the affection of relations, more especially on the eldest son, whose birthright, or extra share of the property, imposed such a duty on him. Partly also on the privileges accorded to other distressed classes, such as the participation in the triennial third tithe, Deu_14:29; Deu_126:12, in leasing, Deu_124:19- 21, and in religious feasts. Deu_116:11; Deu_116:14. In the Church, the widowers were carried at the public’s expense, the relief being administered daily in kind, under the guidance of officers appointed for this special purpose, Act_6:1-6. Particular directions are given by St.Paul as to the class of persons entitled to such public maintenance. 1Ti_5:3- 16.

How are we going to help the widows?

Our vision is to start more shelters that would provide a safe haven for women. Sometimes their husbands have passed away, or their husbands have taken on another woman. They also fall victim to worse circumstances such as resorting to prostitution or falling victim to human trafficking and assault and abuse. Normally when such victims are found children are involved, who also need to be taken care of through these shelters, or “Upliftment Centres”, and be provided for, including their attendance at pre-schools (crèches), primary schools and high schools. Pastoral counseling is also administered to the children who are affected.

We’ve partnered with associated fellowship churches, and the Department of Social Development, to work together with these safe havens, and to provide the necessary services to the needy. By partnering with the existing works of the churches and the government (not recreating the wheel) we work together in unity, to grow to other towns, cities and provinces. That’s why we are praying for your support.

The Upliftment Centres are also a long-term solution for these victims. The counselors are trained by our affiliated Bible Schools to provide the very best in rehabilitating the victims. We are a Christian based organization with the aim of reclaiming, redeeming and restoring.

Churches Unity movement in every town

Our existing relationships with other churches (different denominations) across the country allow us to partner with them in helping the local communities. We all work as one, utilizing each other’s strengths to accomplish that which needs to be done. God is calling us to get involved and be willing to get our hands dirty in order to fulfill God’s mandate. We are only instruments in God’s hands, in humbleness, to be used for the glory of His name. God will raise us up, it’s not just the job of the pastor. It’s about all of God’s people working to get people saved. We cannot turn a blind eye to the scourges in the communities. It’s about choosing between the right thing to do and the wrong. The financial implications for necessities such as offices and call centres will also require the assistance of each and every community.

Support Our

Upliftment Centre

Every town will need an Upliftment Centre. No, we are not revolutionizing Christianity we are simply doing what we were called for by Jesus Christ to do, to go out and make disciples. When the first objective is accomplished, and the Church has been established, the building will be utilized during the daytime. The Upliftment Centres will have Government oversight by the Department of Social Development, the Department of Education, the Department of Health and Social Workers, for example, and counseling will only be done by counselors registered with Life Savers. If unity cannot be established with Government oversight, Church planting will proceed with the assistance and guidance of Life Savers. The know-how experience of Life Savers will be given to the particular individuals working in the various areas.

Weekdays, Monday to Friday, the mission and vision is to start day care centres and after school care at the Church. Now, what about the street children and how will this benefit them?

The income and the profit, after operational costs, will be contributed to include these children. The children will be received into the Church’s care and managed from there. Every child has the right to a shelter, as stated in the South African constitution. Please note that we refer to safe havens or shelters, and not orphanages, as the children we will receive will have the support of a family structure. The family will be involved within the Foundation’s projects and divisions.

Men, women and children are separated, who may have different reasons for being there, with social workers appointed to work with them. They will be put on programs, be educated, and receive qualifications so that they can be reintegrated back into society. They will receive a trade and be able to apply for work. The children will be designated to one or more churches, who are involved in the movement, where aftercare and daycare will be provided. Our school facility aims to reintegrate Christianity into our future leaders. They will form part of the job creation projects within the local churches.

The Upliftment Centres will assist the police in restoring people. The DA party has been on board with this initiative. The Government has programs but they are not working. Prisons do not have anywhere to send people once they are released. We will keep the Government accountable as they should be funding these issues in society, and it should not be run by the Churches or NGO’s. Jay Jay speaks from first-hand experience.

Help Our

Rehabilitation Centres and Safe Havens

The drug addiction problem in our country is well known and it affects the whole country. Through the years we have encountered the reality of this form of evil daily, especially in the street Ministry, and witnessed the destruction it causes. We realized through experience, that the House of God (or its leaders), are not prepared and lack the skills to deal with this evil. There is a huge cry for help from the addicts, and truthfully, only God can help. But like previously said, God gives wisdom. Life Savers Ministries will never turn an addict away as other Churches have done. Yes, for now we use all the same institutions and government assistance as they do. Rehabilitation Centres are very expensive and the person on the street can’t afford it.

These addicts are left to fend for themselves and there is no Restore, Reclaim or Redeem structure in place. There is no support structure. Yes, there is power in prayer, we can testify to that, and God released His people from captivity in Egypt, and so will we, led by the Holy Spirit in the strength of God. As the Body of Christ Movement and the various affiliated Churches grows, and the Church achieves its vision and structures, the Body of Christ will be fully operational as it was intended. The hard work done today, will bear fruit, and the Church and the Foundation will be in a position to purchase land, and a free self-sustainable rehabilitation centre will be built. Through the years the Lord has opened doors, land has been promised and we have dealt with the Department of Education and the SAP. We hold those accountable whom we have dealt with thus far. All the structures will combine to save lives and to Glorify God. To save, reclaim, redeem and restore.

Fellowship Groups / Cell groups

The purpose of the Fellowship Groups / Cell Groups, is to practically meet the needs of the members, forge friendships, and go out from there to meet the needs of the community. It is the best way to take cognizance of the problems in the community, standing together to resolve the problems people face. By sharing the word of God and what God has placed on our hearts, we can grow together as a family, learn from one another, and be there for each other through thick and thin.

The concept of the fellowship group is the cement of the community, and will be the foundation upon which Lifesavers will build the ministry, as we grow in the surrounding areas and spread out to other parts of the land, from strength to strength. God did not say that we must stop living! He said we must stop sinning. Having fun in the Fellowship Groups / Cell Groups is part and parcel of why we get together. We are from different denominations but united in the common cause of Jesus Christ.

Outreach

Schools, hospitals, old age homes, prisons.

This all forms part of the Unity Movement, where unity is established among the local brethren for the greater good of the community.

Schools will be approached, where we will bring back God into the schools, distinguish between right and wrong, and deal with subjects such as bullying and suicide. Children can be placed in a place of safety (Safe Havens) if necessary, placed under guardianship, under the protection of the Church, by legal means, and deal with Social and Welfare Workers if necessary.

We are registered to visit hospitals, pray for people’s healing, and bring them back into the Church ministry. Visiting patients is also an opportunity to grow the church. This ministry is also linked to our Counselling, dealing with trauma, and Funeral ministries.

Services are held every Sunday for old age homes where the elderly are ministered to and where prayer and fellowship are offered otherwise. The elderly also need fellowship. We have coffee with them, offering them our love and support and just being there to care and talk.

We work with the Kairos prison ministry to minister to the prisoners and the prison wardens. We assist with the rehabilitation of the prisoners, to reclaim, redeem and restore. To integrate the prisoners back into society and back into the community.

We also have associated and affiliated institutions in place to support all of our outreaches.
